Dr. (Mrs.) Betty Nkansah OSEI MENSAH is a passionate and a dedicated Paediatrician with an extensive clinical experience. I am highly motivated and always seeking for opportunities to serve, utilize my knowledge and skills to impact on Paediatric and Child Health and advance the vision of the institution I work with.

Dr. (Mrs.) Osei Mensah is a Member of the Faculty of Paediatrics and Child Health of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. She also a Master of Philosophy (Human Physiology) degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast–Ghana and Bachelor of Sciences (Human Biology) degree from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast–Ghana.

She has participated in an Executive Leadership Development course organized by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, a short course in Novel Counselling Skills organized by KNUST Counselling Centre, through the Skilled Helper Programme and a Certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from University of Washington, USA.

Professionally and administratively, Dr. (Mrs.) Osei Mensah is a Paediatrician and a Medical Officer with the University Health Services, KNUST. She currently serves as the Acting Head of Paediatric and Child Health Unit, where she oversees clinical work related to children in the KNUST Hospital. As the Acting Head she also provides administrative and clinical leadership and oversee the training of house officers, residents and other cadre of staff.

Prior to these roles she worked as a Paediatric and Child Health Resident at Department of Child Health of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, a Senior House Officer with the University Health Services of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a House Officer at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi, a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Manhyia District Hospital (on Casual, Contract and National Service basis).

Dr. Mrs. Betty Nkansah OSEI MENSAH has served as the Lead Supervisor/Facilitator on the Healthy Heart Africa (HHA) Site Monitoring and Evaluation, a Facilitator of Trainer-of-Trainers Workshop on Hypertension Management funded by Astrazeneca and implemented by PATH in Collaboration with Ghana Health Service, a facilitator of Trainer-of-Trainers Workshop on Management of Apnoea of Prematurity with Caffeine Citrate, and resource person for service institutions.

She has also participated in several international and national conferences and workshop organized by reputable organizations such as Children Hospital of Philadelphia in collaboration with Open Medical Institute, Paediatric Society of Ghana, Ghana Medical Association, Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG), Ghana College of Physician & Surgeons, Africa Partners Medical, Ghana (APMG), Medical Simulation Skills Institute (MSSI) etc.
