Dr. Kojo Atta Aikins has been a Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana since September 2013. He is currently the head of the Agricultural Machinery Engineering section of the department. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Machinery Engineering, and his areas of research include design of agricultural machinery; soil tillage; no-tillage (direct) seeding systems and conservation agriculture; and refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems. He has expertise in the use of the discrete element method (DEM) in simulating the interaction between granular materials such as soils and grains and agricultural machinery for design optimization.
