Francis Kemausuor is Professor at the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and Dean of the Faculty of Mechnical and Chemical Engineering. He previously served as Director of the Brew-Hammond Energy Center and Head of Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. He led energy sustainability projects funded by UNIDO, UNDP, the European Union Energy Initiative’s Partnership Dialogue Facility (EUEI-PDF), UNESCO, UNEP, DANIDA and the Ghana Energy Commission. Francis has also served as Visiting Lecturer at the Pan African University – Institute of Energy and Water Sciences, Tlemcen, Algeria and the Ecole Superieure des Metiers des Energies Renouvelables, Abomi-Calavi, Benin. Francis holds a PhD in Bioengineering, an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. He has studied at the University of Cambridge, Denmark Technical University, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has also received training in ‘biofuels and chemicals from plant resources’ at the then International Centre for Science and High Technology (ICS), a UNIDO science and technology research branch in Italy.
