Wilson Agyei Agyare has been lecturing at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology (KNUST, Kumasi since 2008 as a Senior Lecturer and was promoted to an Associate Professor. He was a Research Scientist from 1996-2006 and Senior Research Scientist (2006-2008) at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (SARI), Tamale, Ghana. His expertise and skills include: Soil and Water Engineering and Conservation, Decision Support Systems, Pump Irrigation, Soil Suitability Assessment, Soil and Crop Modeling, Catchment Erosion and Sedimentation/Nutrient Export into Small Reservoirs, Climate Change, Inland Valley Management and Extension of Sustainable Agricultural Intensification Technologies. He has authored over 70 publications including 48 peer reviewed journal papers. He holds a certificate in Interdisciplinary studies from the Centre for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn, Bonn, Germany. He has led, consulted or collaborated with WASCAL, NRGP, IVRDP, AfSIS, BiomassWeb, ZEF-GLOWA Volta Project, IWMI, CPWF, IFDC, MoFA, WRC, OAU/STRC-SAFGRAD/USAID, WARDA, UNEP and GSOP. He is a member of Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE), Ghana Society of Agricultural Engineers (GSAE) and Soil Science Society of Ghana (SSSG).
