The main focus of research undertaken between the periods from 2008 to 2013 can be grouped under two broad areas:

1. Biomaterial properties and bioprocess engineering with emphasis on thermo-physical properties, deformation mechanics of biomaterials, drying and storage of tropical crops.

2. Mechanisation in animal production with emphasis on livestock housing facilities, agro-environment/climate change with related issues in crop production and animal waste management.
