Innovative procurement approaches within the Ghanaian Construction Industry (2015-date)

The focus is to explore innovative construction project procurement approaches that can be used within the Ghanaian construction industry. An overview and critique of procurement systems are being undertaken to highlight their innovativeness and also single out key factors for adoption, adaptation and implementation within the Ghanaian Construction.

Performance measurement and improvement (2014- Date)

The study is exploring various means through which the performance of the Ghanaian construction can be objective measured. Successful methods used in other jurisdiction are under review to map out key parameters that can be used within the local context. The measurement is expected to lead to the development of a framework and approaches for continuous performance improvement of the industry.

Alternative contract administration practices. (2013 – 2019)

The continued relevance of retention, advance payment and other methods that can be employed to improve the administration of contracts were examined. The aim was to highlight the principles underling these contract administration practices in other to propose more effective and efficient alternative methods or approaches. Results of the study would assist in capacity building within the local industry.
