Dr Ernest Kissi a lecturer of Construction Management at the Department of Construction Technology and Management, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Dr Kissi started his early education at Tesano High School and Amasaman Secondary Technical School all in Accra. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Technology, Master’s degree in Building Technology (area in Project Management) and PhD degree in Construction Management (area in economics) from KNUST. Dr Kissi has over years acquired certificates training in the following areas Research Leadership and Mentorship, KNUST, Advanced Study in Project Monitoring and Evaluation, ACCE Evaluation Training Institute, GIMPA, Contract Management, Building and Road Research Institute, Kumasi-Ghana and Negotiation: Procedure, Skills and Techniques, Ghana Institution of Surveyors.
Ernest started his career as Assistant Project Officer at Habitat for Humanity, Ghana (national service) and later Construction Specialist at the same organisation. Following this, Ernest proceeded to his academic professional career at KNUST in 2012-2015 as a Graduate Assistant, a part-time lecturer at Kumasi Technical University and University of Education, Kumasi Campus (2015-2016) and later as a researcher (Principal Technologist) at Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, Building and Road Research Institute (2016-2017). Currently, Ernest is a Lecturer of Construction Management at the Department of Construction Technology and Management and Assistant Examinations Officer in charge of post graduate studies.
Dr Kissi serves as an editorial board member for the Quantity Surveyor (2016- date), Ghana Institution of Surveyors (Quantity Surveying Division) and ICT Committee Member, Building and Road Research Institute, Kumasi-Ghana (2017). He has also published over 50 scientific papers in leading journals and conference proceedings, and has presented several papers at international conferences across the globe. Ernest holds prestigious fellowship awards in many world class professional institutions, including:

As a quantity surveyor and project manager, Ernest has involved in a number of consulting works for several organisations. His area of specialization including; Construction Economics, Project and Procurement Management, Project Financing, Technical Education and Monitoring and Evaluation.
