Research Areas/Interests
1 Rock and Mineral Magnetism: magnetic properties of rocks and minerals
Experimental study of the magnetic properties of rocks and minerals which are commonly associated with gold mineralization and therefore of importance in geophysical exploration of gold-bearing ore bodies.
2 Experimental study of the physical properties of Ghanaian rocks
Experimental characterization of the physical properties of Ghanaian rocks vital in the interpretation of geophysical exploration data for groundwater, economic minerals and hydrocarbons.
3 Geophysical exploration for groundwater, and economic minerals
Application of geophysical techniques to site boreholes to provide groundwater for some rural communities in Ghana as well as the delineation of potential mineralization in gold bearing rocks.
4 Environmental geophysics
Application of Geophysical techniques to identify, map and predict the presence and potential movement of surface water and groundwater and to identify contaminants especially heavy metals, in the soil within some few meters (i.e., the upper 10 to 100 m of the Earth's Crust).
