George Parker-Lamptey holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Applied Mathematics) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) awarded in 2017. This was served with a specialization coupling Petroleum Reservoir Simulation and Fractional Differential Equations. He also holds a Master of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics (2012) and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (2009) from KNUST. He joined the Department of Mathematics Faculty in 2018.
As an Applied Mathematician, he has considerable experience and made contributions to Modeling with Differential Equations, Fluid Dynamics for Mathematics and Computer Modeling for Engineering, Bio-sciences and Finance. He currently serves as an Examination Officer and Trainer for Learning Management Systems for varying levels of education. He is an advocate for contemporary application of Learning Management Systems for Assessment both academically and professionally.
He also currently holds an office as an Associate, Editor and Instructor at the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS).
