Profile

Dr. Godwin F.K. Tay is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), with expertise in thermo-fluid and energy systems. He obtained his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from KNUST (2005) and earned both his MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. He joined KNUST in 2020. His current research focuses on performance optimization of thermal power plants and data-driven, AI-based prediction of thermal power plant output, with the aim of supporting more reliable power generation. Dr. Tay teaches Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Power Plant Engineering, and Computer Programming for Engineers, emphasizing computational thinking, modelling, and practical engineering problem-solving.
