Emmanuel Acheampong Tsiwah is a Materials Scientist and Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He holds a BSc in Materials Engineering from KNUST, an MSc in Materials Science and Technology from Wuhan University of Technology (China), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering through a joint program between KNUST and the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
His academic and research career spans key areas of nanotechnology and energy materials, with a focus on the synthesis of perovskite nanocrystals and the fabrication of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells. Tsiwah’s research also extends into superhydrophobic coatings, covalent organic frameworks, and the development of scalable materials for renewable energy technologies.
He has conducted collaborative research in China at prestigious institutions such as Wuhan University of Technology and USTC, and has co-authored several publications in leading international journals in the fields of nanomaterials, photovoltaics, and sustainable energy. His industry experience includes hands-on engineering training at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, where he specialized in aircraft component inspection and maintenance.
