He is a practicing General Surgeon and Breast Surgeon and a researcher with interest in surgical oncology especially breast cancer . He aims to better understand Breast cancer in Africans and other ethnic minorities in the bid to improve outcomes in the management of breast cancer in these populations. He is a Co investigator with the International Center for the Study of Breast Cancer Subtypes(ICSBCS).

He also works as a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Surgery, School of Medicine and Dentistry, College of Health Sciences, KNUST. He holds  Fellowship in both the Ghana College of Surgeons and the West African College of Surgeons and a Post graduate Diploma in Project Design and Management from the Lieverpool School of Tropical Medicine
