Ms. Linda Bayim is a Senior Administrative Assistant at the Provost Office, College of Engineering and holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Human Resource option) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
In October 2012, she joined the University as a National Service Personnel at the College of Art and Built Environment (CABE) formerly College of Architecture and Planning and was subsequently engaged as an Administrator (Casual Staff) at the Centre of Excellence for Housing Studies. Her duties included assisting the Acting Head by promoting, advertising and marketing short programmes to students and organisations and also liaising with researchers to set up weekly colloquia.
She was appointed as the Administrative Focal Person in September 2016 at the College Research Office (OGR) where she assisted by identifying funding opportunities and disseminating information to the staff in the College. Her duties included interactions with researchers to maintain an updated records of research projects in the College to be featured in the University’s research reports. She was also responsible for registering research projects on the Research Information Management Systems (ReMIS) and reviewing of KNUST Research Proposals (KReF) applications at the College level before onward submission to the Office of Grants and Research (OGR).
She has served on Committees such as College Rationalisation Committee (CABE), College Welfare Committee (CABE) and is currently serving as an Assistant Secretary on the Vision 2020-2024 Action Plan Implementation Oversight Committee.
Ms. Bayim seeks to contribute immensely to the development of the country by diligently assisting in the realization of organizational objectives, visions and goals. She is an excellent communicator, hardworking and confident in dealing with people from all walks of life.
