Research Conducted/On Going
Computational organic and organometallic chemistry, focusing on:
- The mechanisms of oxidation of olefins with transition metal oxo complexes;
- The reactivities of alkylidenes and oxo-alkylidenes as catalysts for olefin metathesis reactions;
- Spin forbidden reactions in transition metal chemistry;
- Thermal cycloaddition reactions, particularly 1,3-diploar cycloaddition reactions to produce complex carbocyclic frameworks in a single step;
- Homogeneous Transition metal and base catalyzed cleavage of aryl ether linkages selective lignin depolymerization;
- Homogeneous Transition metal catalyst for selective partial hydrogenation of biofuels.
