- Remediation of heavy metals in contaminated soil using materials science and engineering approach (2017 – Date).

Specific areas of research interest include:
- Surface Engineering and Mechanical Properties Determination of Diffusion Hardened Ferrous Materials for Infrastructural Applications
- Advanced Microstructural and Nano-/Micro-Mechanical Properties Characterization for both coated and bulk materials: SEM, AFM/Nano-indenter, EDX, FTIR and X-ray diffraction and Nano/Macro wear analysis of surface hardened materials
- Analysis and evaluation of wear deformation mechanisms with the view to develop the processing-microstructure-property relationship in processed materials
