Prof. Imoro Braimah was the Provost of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 2014 - 2020. He is a Professor in Planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Development Planning from the KNUST, Master of Science in Development Planning and Management from the then University of Dortmund in Germany and KNUST, and a PhD from the University of Kassel, Germany.
He has considerable research, teaching and consultancy experience in Strategic Planning, Demography and Social Infrastructure Planning including Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) and Energy, Policy Analysis, Decentralization and Urban Planning and Management. He is also a practitioner in Organization and Development.
Prof. Braimah was the curriculum lead for the KNUST to partner four other Universities to develop the new 4-year Bachelor of Education in Basic Education programme that is being run by all colleges of education in Ghana and universities to train the next generation of teachers. Prof. Braimah is on contract at the Department of Planning while helping to develop the newly established Faculty of Educational Studies at KNUST. He is also the chairman of the KNUST Muslim Community.
