Prince Aboagye Anokye a Senior Lecturer in Planning joined the Department in 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Planning from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He has a Master of Philosophy in Planning, Growth and Regeneration from the University of Cambridge, UK and Postgraduate Diploma in Land Management and Informal Settlement Regularization from IHS at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He is also a certified Land Governance Expert.
He has over 15 years’ experience in teaching, consultancy and research. His research areas include urban administration and management with focus on urban mobility, urban housing, informal settlement upgrading and urban regeneration. He also has expertise in urban planning and management with a bias for urban economics and municipal finance as well as the legal and institutional frameworks for urban planning and management.
He is a member of Ghana Institute of Planners (MGIP); Member International Research Group on Law and Urban Space (IRGLUS), a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CMCIH) in the UK, a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society (FCCS) and an Alumnus of the Rockefeller Centre, Bellagio. His research and consultancy works have brought him into contact with local and international organisations such as Ministries Departments and Agencies and Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Ghana and Sierra Leone, USAID, ILO, UNDP, UN Habitat, EU, IDA such as World Bank. Other organisations he has either worked with or consulted for include COWI, GOPA, VNG International and NORAD.
