Emmanuel Asuming Frimpong is a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is an Electrical Engineer and a certified Sustainable Energy Management Professional. His specialties are in Power Systems Planning, Power Systems Analysis, Power Systems Protection, Energy Auditing, Energy Conservation Education, Intelligent Energy Management Systems, and Design of Solar Photovoltaic Systems. He has several years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting. He has also served on numerous Committees and Boards, including the Executive Committee, and Academic Board of KNUST. He is the Electrical Consultant for KNUST, and a Consultant for Mathematica Policy Research, USA, on the Independent Evaluation Services in support of Ghana II Compact Power Project. He is a Reviewer for several local and international journals. He serves as an Assessor for the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and is a Moderator for the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET). He has been involved in several projects including the investigation of the engineering challenges associated with distributed grid-connected solar PV systems in rural Africa, the electrical impacts assessment of grid solar PV systems on the performance of distribution networks and formulation of codes and standards for Grid-PV system interconnection in Ghana. He has also led the development and pilot implementing of measures towards energy efficiency in educational institutions, as well as the design and implementation of intelligent energy management devices for energy conservation in air conditioners. E. A. Frimpong is a staunch member of the Church of Christ and actively pursues evangelist works. His goal is to use the unadulterated word of God to transform lives.
