Charles Mawutor Adrah joined the department of Electrical Engineering in December 2022 as a Lecturer. He received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, in 2008, the M.Sc. degree in Telematics (services and systems engineering) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in information security and communication technology from NTNU in 2020.

He worked as a Project engineer with Vard Electro, Norway for about fours years (2012-2016). He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with NTNU under the KPN-project ENERGIX, 295034/E20, during 2021–2022 and an Adjunct Assistant Professor with NTNU for two years  between 2023-2024.

His research interests include performance analysis of smart grids as cyber-physical systems, co-simulation of power and communication systems with focus on (5G and beyond 5G), future internet architectures, and blockchain applications in smart grids.
