Profile

Akua joined the KNUST Library System on 4th May 2009 as an Academic Librarian. She currently takes charge of the Libraries at the Basic School. She manages and curates the information resources, supports the teaching and learning by developing and delivering information literacy instruction sessions in line with the syllabus of the school. Besides she performes administrative functions of the libraries within the Basic School.

Asantewaa holds PhD in African Art and Culture from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, MA in Library Studies and BA in Linguistics and Political Science both from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra.

Dr. (Mrs.) Badu Sampene is a Chartered Member of the Ghana Library Association (GLA), a Member of the University Teachers Association, Ghana (UTAG), a Fellow of Republic Hall, was a Council Member of Republic Hall and a staunch member of the Christ Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, KNUST, Kumasi.

Her main objective in life is to help achieve the highest standards in education to enhance productivity. That is what she is pursuing in the University Library System of KNUST.
