Mr. Emmanuel Obeng Bonsoo is an experienced sculptor who has practiced over four (4) decades. He joined the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 1985.  He started as a technical assistant and rose through the ranks to become a senior member. Mr. Bonsoo is therefore an epitome of institutional memory for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Throughout his practice, he has made several sculptures which serves as symbol of national unity, culture and identity.  He constructed the sculpture for the renowned Ahodwo Roundabout in the city of Kumasi. Mr. Bonsoo also constructed the sculpture at the entrance of Center for National Culture in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He constructed the statue of Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and seven renowned traditional leaders who contributed to the creation of Brong Ahafo Region at the Sunyani Jubilee Park. He has constructed sculptures for institutions such as Cape Coast Technical University, Sunyani Technical University and the Kumasi Technical University.  Over the years, he has mentored over 100 sculptors who are currently practicing throughout the world. Mr. Bonsoo is currently working on the statue of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah which he termed as the “Kwame Nkrumah the Star of African Monument.
