Research Areas/Interests

My academic journey, culminating in a PhD in Land Management and Governance has been shaped by a deep interest in how land governance interfaces with environmental justice and social transformation. My doctoral research focuses on evaluating the decision-making processes involved in siting solar photovoltaic (PV) projects on customary lands, with specific attention to how land tenure systems, power relations, and institutional dynamics shape site selection processes, land access and benefit-sharing. This research responds directly to the growing demand for clean energy solutions that are not only environmentally sustainable but also socially equitable.
