I had my High School education at Prempeh College in the Ashanti Region of Ghana and proceeded to the University of Ghana, Legon, for my undergraduate studies; graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree Honours in Sociology. I had my post-graduate studies in Regional Planning at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. These are in addition to a Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism and Communication at the School of Journalism and Communication Studies in the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Certificate in Project Analysis at the Egyptian Centre for Agriculture (EICA).
After a working stint with the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Local
Government and Rural Development as an Assistant Superintendent of Education and an Assistant Rural Planning Officer respectively, I took up an appointment with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as a Research Fellow at the then Land Administration Research Centre (LARC). My research interests are in the areas of:
- Land Tenure and Policy Issues
- Livelihood Studies
- Land Use Planning and Development
- Development Communication
As part of my teaching mandate in the University, I have been with the Department of Land Economy for a considerable number of years handling courses in:
- Land Use Planning and Administration,
- Planning Law and Administration,
- Fundamentals of Planning
I have also provided part time teaching services to the Department of Planning in Planning Legislation and Administration and the Department of Environmental Science in Fundamentals of Planning. These are in addition to the supervision of both undergraduate dissertations and post-graduate theses in the Department of Land Economy.
