Profile

Kwabena Agyei Junior is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG). He is also an alumnus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. Currently, he serves as an Accountant at the College of Health Sciences, where he is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of both the School of Medical Sciences (SMS) and the School of Public Health (SPH). Kwabena possesses over seven years of post-qualification experience and has dedicated nearly a decade to his work at the university. Since 2022, he has also been providing part-time lecturing services for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) at KNUST.

Before his transfer to the College of Health Sciences, Kwabena gained valuable experience at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Institute of Distance Learning, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at KNUST, and the University Accommodation and Conferences. In these roles, he performed a range of accounting and financial duties, contributing significantly to the operational success of each unit.

Kwabena is currently a member of the Juaben Municipal Health Directorate Audit Committee and also serves on a number of committees in the University such as the Summer School Committee, Biennial Scientific Committee, Tender Evaluation Committee and the Wellness Center Committee. He has also served on committees that have brought meaningful impact to the University including the E learning Expansion Committee, KNUST Accounting Manual Development Committee, Finance Office Succession Plan Committee and the SMS Graduate Entry Implementation Committee.
