Profile

Osei-Tutu Oppong is an ambitious young man with passion to rise up the administrative ladder to provide his quota to help the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to achieve its long term vision of advancing knowledge in science and technology for sustainable development in Africa and globally.

This, he does as a Principal Administrative Assistant at the Human Resources Development Division of KNUST where he is in charge of providing management with accurate and timely data to assist in decision making.

The five (5) years of his professional life as an Administrator has broadened his exposure to a variety of academic and administrative procedures. This has mainly been through serving as Secretary and Member on various committees including;

  • Secretary, Search Committee for Appointment of Registrar, Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU), 2018
  • Recorder, Search Committee for Appointment of Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) - 2019
  • Member, VC's Special Committee to collate information for NCTE/NAB Staff Audit - 2019
  • Recorder, Junior Member Disciplinary Committee - 2021 to date
  • Member, Committee on the Digitization of Registrar's Offices - 2017
  • Secretary, Committee to Set Up the Registrar's Offices Website - 2017

Mr. Oppong has also attended some training workshops including

  • Human Resource Analytics for Strategic Business Decision Making, organised by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Business School, Ghana, from 18th - 19th February, 2019 in Accra
  • Workshop for Planning and Data Officers in Public Universities, organised by NCTE on 18th April, 2018, Accra
