Dr Dr. Seth Christopher Yaw Appiah is  a Senior Lecturer at the Department  of Sociology and Social Work , Kwame Nkrumah University  of Science and Technology. Dr Dr Seth Christopher Yaw Appiah is Medical Sociologist and Infectious disease public health scientist, gender intersectionality  , sexuality and human right scientist and an African Union Research Fellow. He holds a PhD Reproductive Health Sciences from the Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences Institute University of Ibadan (PAULESI) . He additionally holds a PhD Medical Research International Health from the Ludwig-Maximillian University of Munich(LMU) and an MPhil Sociology (Health) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.  Dr Dr Appiah further holds an MPhil/LLM   in Sexual Reproductive Right in Africa (SRRA) from the Centre for Human Right University of Pretoria and training Certificate in Gender-Based Analysis of Vector-borne Diseases and Climate Change from School of Public Health University of the Witwatersrand. He is a Visiting Lecturer at the Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences University of Ibadan and a Visiting Research Scientist at the Centre for Human Right ,Institut für Politische Wissenschaft Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Dr Dr Appiah is a member of the International Society of Social Paeditricians and Child Health.

Dr Appiah was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Sociology and Social Work / Faculty of Social Sciences / Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana). He earned his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts Sociology and Social Work from the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana).
