Professional/Teaching Experience

  • I have been teaching and building competencies of students in agricultural colleges in Ghana since 2005, and at a university beginning from January 2017 in courses including development communication, theoretical foundation of extension, social research methods, and agricultural extension and rural sociology. Recent additional training include participating in ICRA’s course on Making Education Work which included modules on competency based education, practice-based and real-life learning for more employable graduates, and session design and delivery for building competences. Recent experience include preparing organisational development training material for capacity development of farm institutes in Ghana; conducting needs assessment and value chain analysis. In 2016, I served as the team leader in writing of NICHE project proposal (NICHE-GHA-270) titled Strengthening the Capacity of four Agricultural Colleges in Ghana. Prior experience includes training and monitoring of field activities of agricultural extension agents and their supervisors in Ministry of food and Agriculture for three years.
