Dr. Bernard Archibald Senyo Agyeman is a Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He holds Bachelor of Science Agriculture (School of Agriculture, University of Cape Coast), MPhil Agricultural Administration (Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, University of Ghana) and PhD Agricultural Extension (Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, University of Cape Coast) degrees. For his National Service, He served as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Animal Science, School of Agriculture, University of Cape Coast. Dr. Agyeman worked as the substantive Research Assistant for the Development and Operationalization of the Science Agenda for Agriculture in Africa (S3A) at the African Unions apex Agricultural research organisation-Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA). He has also consulted for the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) on Conservation Agriculture Practice: The Psychology of Smallholder Farmer Adoption in Ghana.  Dr. Agyeman has an extensive work life in the Ghanaian Cocoa Sector. He worked with the Cocoa Abrabopa Association as the Extension Manager; with the Federated Commodities Ltd (FEDCO) where he set-up and managed the Cooperative Department and has also researched into the ‘Factors Influencing Extension Delivery in the Volta Cocoa Region of Ghana’ for his Doctoral Thesis. During his period of work with FEDCO, He led partnerships with Micro-finance establishments, input providers as well as with SOCODEVI-a Canadian Based organisation to implement the Women in Cocoa Communities Initiative-WCCI (TogetHER project) and others. He was also part of Socodevi’s working committee for development of an Insurance Scheme for the Ghanaian Cocoa sector.  Dr. Agyeman also served as a Judge for the ENACTUS competition for tertiary institutions and Senate Chairman for Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG)-University of Cape Coast chapter. He has experience in rural work and farmer Based organisation/cooperative set-up and management, input distribution management, Loan sourcing for farmers and repayment support; cocoa purchases, certification, Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) amongst others. Dr. Bernard Archibald Senyo Agyeman has interest in farm and farmer support services and innovations, Cooperative Development, ICT applications in Extension, Entrepreneurship, Agribusiness, facilitation, policy and research (with inclination to mixed methods and multi-disciplinary research).
