Atinuke Adebanji is a proactive lecturer and researcher in Statistics and Public Health who holds a PhD in Statistics and MPH (Reproductive and Public Health), with more than 17 years’ experience in Theoretical and Applied Statistics, Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Her research interests are Multivariate Data Analysis, Categorical Data Analysis and Development Staistics. She possesses outstanding communication, classroom management and presentation skills. She also has proven excellence in the development of strong rapport with students, colleagues, and administrators. In the course of her career, she has taught and supervised students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within and outside Ghana.
A committed faculty member who exhibits expertise in the creation, implementation and coordination of lifelong learning programs and the personalized development of appropriate strategies and meaningful activities to propel learning in Higher Education. She is the originator and Coordinator of KNUST-Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (KNUST-LISA), which is a center that promotes statistical and data science knowledge and applications. Atinuke is an ardent believer in mentoring students and younger faculty, thus, she is also a protagonist for females in STEM which has seen her playing a focal role in Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, Ghana (WiSTEMGh). Again, she has exceptional track record of research success with multiple published articles and awards including grants and other agreements. Atinuke is an inspirational figure to not just her students, but also the people she encounters because she has a knack for recognizing and encouraging individual growth.
