Yaw Akwoyire Aviamu is an Assistant Librarian, currently serving as Acting Head of the Academic Engagement Department at the Prempeh II Library. He also oversees electronic resources and has been recognised as a Better Evidence Champion.
Over more than two decades of professional experience, he has worked and held leadership and supervisory positions within several library units in KNUST, such as the Faculty of Agriculture Library, Sir Arku Korsah Law Library, Learning Commons, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Library, and the School of Veterinary Medicine Library, among others.
Aviamu’s scholarly interests include: RDM/Institutional Repositories, Learning Spaces in Universities, Information Literacy, Health Sciences Librarianship, and Bibliometrics
