Setsoafia Afetsi Yao Humphrey-Ackumey is an Information Professional with over two (2) decades of working experience in an academic setting. He is knowledgeable in the following: Digital Libraries, Data Curation, Open Data, Information Management, Research Data analysis and Management, Resource Description and Access creation issues.

He holds an MPhil in Information Studies from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from KNUST, and Professional Part 1 (ACCA) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. He also attended Chemu and Tema Secondary Schools, where he obtained his GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level Certificates.

The highest University administrative positions held include Currently, he is the Head of the Technical Support Department of the University Library and a member of the Library Quality Assurance and Planning Unit Sub-committee since 2016. He has held the roles of Assistant Board Secretary, Tek Cooperative Credit Union Council Member, and a member of the Constitutional Review Committee of the Senior Staff Association of KNUST.

He is very much abreast of current and emerging trends in technology to effectively and efficiently manage organizations.
