Dr. Enoch Odame Anto is a Senior Lecturer of Medical Laboratory Science at the Department of Medical Diagnostics and Biomedical Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is a Sessional Academic Teaching Staff and an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Medical and Health Science, Edith Cowan University. He is currently the postgraduate coordinator for the MPhil/PhD Haematology programme and the Deputy Exams Officer at the Medical Diagnostic Department, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, KNUST.
Dr. Anto holds PhD. in Medical Sciences from the Edith Cowan University, Australia. Before this he has completed Master by Research in Chemical Pathology from the KNUST and Bcahelor of Science, Medical Laboratory Science (Honours) from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science of the University of Cape Coast (UCC). He has undertaken certificate courses in Medical Statistics, Sandford University, UK. He is a trained Medical Laboratory Scientist with lincense from the Allied Health Professional Council of Ghana and
He previously worked as a Researcher and Academic Sessional Teaching Staff at the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Edith Cowan University, Australia and Tutor (Part-time) Royal Ann College of Health, Kumasi, Ghana. He completed his internship as a Teaching Assistant at the Departments of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast.
He currently serves as an Associate Editor in Frontier in Clinical Diabetes and Healthcare and a reviewer in several international journals including Scientific African, Risk Management and Healthcare Policy & Integrated Blood Pressure Control, European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Reproductive Biology, SAGE Open Medicine, Translational Metabolic Syndrome Research, Biomedical Central (BMC) Public Health, Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group), British Medical Journal (BMJ) Open, Public Library of Science (PLOS) One, and Biomedical Central (BMC) Nursing, etc.
He is also a member of the Allied Health Professional Council, Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GAMLS), Association for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine (formerly American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC)), Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS), High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia (HBPRCA) and International Federation of Placenta Association (IFPA).
Dr. Enoch Odame Anto has widespread research experience in global health, Women and Child Health, Chemical pathology-related metabolic, Histo-immunopathology, and infectious disease, which has led to over 100 peer-reviewed publications including articles, book chapters, abstract proceedings, and media publications. His research interests are in Medical Laboratory Science, Global Health, Chemical pathology-related metabolic and infectious diseases, Biochemical hematology, Histology, immunohistochemistry, and Women and Child health.
