Dr. Ernest Adankwah is a research scientist and lecturer at the Department of Medical Diagnostics, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, KNUST-Kumasi, Ghana. He is a trained Biomedical Scientist with extensive experience in laboratory-based research and clinical practice. He has collaborated extensively with international and local researchers in several translational studies. His competence is in the use of both immunological (i.e., Multi-colour flow cytometry, ELISA, CBA, immunofluorescence, in vitro assays, cell cultures, immunohistochemistry & phosphorylation assays) and molecular (i.e., Real-time PCR, Fluorescence in situ Hybridisation (FISH), western blot, Lentiviral transduction systems & o gene expression assays) tools in the discovery of novel biomarkers in infectious diseases and cancers. He is currently involved in a translational study to identify novel biomarkers and develop improved diagnostics for Mycobacterium (M.) tuberculosis infection detection in Ghana. Dr. Adankwah is an active researcher and has published in notable peer-reviews journals.
