In August 2009 I was invited by the University of Michigan USA as a Visiting Scholar in the University. The University of michigan African Presidential Scholars (UMAPS) program provides an opportunity for academics based in Africa to spend up to six months in Ann Arbor. The program helps scholars to engaged in teaching and research in the University Community and establishing collaboration with faculties.
