THE Janet Else Visiting Scholar award is presented to an individual whose work and contribution by way of research and teaching have promoted knowledge in the areas of textiles and apparel. Several scholars are nominated from developing countries and the winner selected by the governing board after considering amongst others, recommendations from other  scholars and practitioners who must be members of the ITAA
