Research Areas/Interests
My research and the subsequent publications have touched on diverse ethical and social issues. “Unanticipated Consequences of Imprisonment on the Families of Kumasi Central Prison of Ghana”; and “Prison Without Walls: Perception about Community Service as an Alternative to Imprisonment in Kumasi Metropolis, Ashanti Region, Ghana” have contributed knowledge to the science of Criminal Justice System.
“Changing Family System and Care for the Elderly in Rural Ashanti: A Case Study of Bamang” has also promoted knowledge in the field Social Gerontology.
“Violent Attitudes and Mental Health Symptoms among Mutually Violent Ghanaian Couples”; “Demographic Determinants of Work-Family Conflict among Female Commercial Bankers in Kumasi, Ghana”; “Child Labour: The Silent Thief of the Child’s Right in Ghana” and “Women Making Ends Meet: Street Hawking in Kumasi, Challenges and Constraints” have all added to knowledge in the areas of Conflict, Family and Domestic Violence.
“Professional Perceptions of Social Work Impact on Developing Field Education: A Case Study in Kumasi, Ghana”; “Three Children in a Home are Neglected: Response of a Social Worker from Ghana”; “Youth-Headed Household: Response of a Social Worker from Ghana” and “A Gay Adolescent Coming Out: Response of a Social Worker from Ghana” have all contributed to the science of Social Work.
Lastly, “Behind the Box: A Sociological Analysis of Theft, Tampering and Mishandling of Postal Packets”; “Communication and Productivity in Vodafone-Ghana, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana” and “Supervisory Style and Workers’ Behaviour in Selected Organizations in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana” have advanced knowledge to Organizational Science.
