Dr. Mrs. Ayisha Ida Baffoe-Ashun is an Architect by profession with a PhD degree in Architecture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She is currently a Lecturer and the Assistant Departmental Examinations Officer at the Department of Architecture, KNUST, Kumasi. She teaches in the areas of Architectural History and Theory, Conservation Theory, and Settlement Planning and Design in the Department. She has authored articles in the areas of Sustainable/Green Environments and Urban Design and Planning, as well as participated in a number of conferences in these fields. Her exploits have given her various awards such as Best Presenter Award at ICIDA Conference - KNUST (2018) and an Erasmus + Scholarship to Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences – Germany.
Dr. Mrs. Baffoe-Ashun also holds a Master of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, both from the KNUST in Kumasi, Ghana. In August 2020, she graduated as the first Ghanaian Female PhD degree holder in Architecture in Ghana. She has supported and promoted teaching and research at the Department of Architecture, KNUST since September 2015 to date.
