Dr (Mrs.) Mercy Naa Aduele Opare-Addo is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She worked at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for 20years and rose through the ranks to become Deputy Director Pharmaceutical Services. Whilst at KATH, Mercy worked as the Quality Assurance Coordinator for 10 years having obtained a Master of Health Services Planning and Management degree in 2001.  She joined the University in August 2013 and undertook her PhD in Social Pharmacy completing in 2017.  Her research interests are Health Seeking Behaviour, Medication Safety, Patient Safety, in persons with chronic diseases. Mercy’s area of specialization is Public Health, Ethics in Healthcare, Effective Communication in Healthcare, Quality Assurance in Healthcare, Teamwork and Collaboration in Healthcare, Research Methods and Research Ethics.

Currently, she is the Experiential Training Coordinator for the Doctor of Pharmacy Programme.

Dr. (Mrs) Opare-Addo is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH), Lady Pharmacist Association (LAPAG), the Commonwealth Pharmacy Association (CPA), and the International Federation of Pharmacist (FIP).
