Profile

Mark Amankwa Harrison is a part-time lecturer in pharmacy practice. He has served as a Preceptor for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience to pharmacy students. He has served as a Technical Working Group Memeber for the National Cardiovasular Disease Guidelines. He has been a visiting pharmacist at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Hospitals. He is a Preceptor of the Fellowship Programme of the Ghana College of Pharmacists. His areas of expertise include cardiovasular, metabolic, rheumatic and gastro-intestinal disease. His areas of research interest include pharmacoepidemiology, clinical pharmacy, clinical outcomes, cost effectiveness, access to medicines, adherence to clinical guidelines, cardiovascular disease and other NCDs, pharmaceutical health service, pharmacy practice and clinical trials. He has a Fellowship Qualification in clinical pharmacy from the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists and the Ghana College of Pharmacists. He is a member of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, International Society of Hypertension, International Society of Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy, Pan-African Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.
