Profile

Richard Serbeh is a Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Rural Development at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Richard holds a PhD in Geography and Rural Development from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge UK. His research interests include participatory development, rural and urban livelihoods, environmental management, migration and development, development economics and institutions and development. His recent research particularly examines how spatial characteristics shape participatory development, migration outcomes/aspirations and the technology-financial inclusion nexus. Further, he explores the human-environment interactions, highlighting the sustainable development implications of this relationship.
