Profile

Professor Philip Kweku Baidoo is a Professor of Entomology in the Department of Theoretical and Applied Biology. His research interest include the use of Plants Botanicals in the Management of Insect Pests of Agricultural Crops. He has researched extensively on insect pests and their natural enemies and how these plant semiochemicals affect insect pest and their natural enemies. Crops and their pests that have been studied include Cabbage, Tomatoes, Garden Eggs, and Maize. Extensive research have also been conducted on maize stem borers, their ecology and management using bacterial pathogens such as the soil-borne bacterium Bacillus Thuriengiensis.
