Profile

Mr. Rabbi Darko is a Licensed Counselling Psychologist registered with the Ghana Psychological Council (GPC), and an active member of several professional bodies including the American Psychological Association (International Affiliate), the Ghana Psychological Association, and the Ghana National Association of Certified Counsellors (GNACC).

He has extensive expertise in Career Counselling, Behavioural Modification, Child Counselling, Development Counselling, Educational Counselling, and Marriage Counselling. Currently, he serves as the College Counsellor for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Mr. Rabbi Darko holds an MPhil in Guidance & Counselling from the University of Education, Winneba, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Linguistics from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Diploma in Education from the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAM-USTED), formerly COLTEK, UEW-K.

His professional journey began as an English Language teacher during his national service at Obuasi Presby Junior High School. He later taught at Uncle Rich Senior High School in Winneba, where he founded and became the first Counsellor of the school’s Guidance and Counselling Unit. He also served as an English teacher and Deputy Counsellor at Otumfuo Osei Tutu II College in the Ashanti Region.

Additionally, Mr. Rabbi Darko has experience in higher education, having lectured at AAM-USTED (formerly UEW-K), where he taught Educational Psychology and Guidance & Counselling as a part-time lecturer.

Mr. Rabbi Darko has a strong passion for youth mentorship, capacity building, and social impact. He:

  • Organizes seminars and conferences for the youth on pertinent social and psychological issues.

  • Facilitates workshops for teachers and caregivers in educational institutions.
