Mariata Yusifu is a staff of KNUST. She was employed by the University as Clerk Grade II on 1^st December 1997. Through hard work and determination, she has upgraded herself to the rank of Principal Administrative Assistant. She has worked in three different departments in the University. Currently, she has been appointed as the Secretary to the Provost of the College of Science, KNUST.

She holds a degree in Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management and Consulting), at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration (Secretarial Education) at the University of Education, Kumasi campus in 2014.

She comes from Wa in the Upper West Region but stays at Ejisu in Kumasi. She is married with four (4) children.

She is the Secretary to the College of Science Community Engagement Committee, 2020.

She is a member of the Junior Science and Maths Quiz Welfare Committee, CoS, 2021

She is the Secretary to the College of Science Website Management Committee, 2021.

She was a recorder at the Procurement Committee meetings, 2010 – 2014.

She was the Secretary to the Departmental Board Meetings, Department of Industrial Art, 2014 -2019.

She was the administrator assisting the Department of Industrial Art Website Manager.  She was also appointed as the Secretary to the Mentorship Committee of Industrial Art.

She was a Resource Person for the Beading Class in 2019 and 2020 of the KNUST Master Card Summar School Programme.

She was a Resource Person for Soap Production (Liquid Soap, Shower Gel and Parazone) during the for WISeMatics Skill Training Programme of the College of Science Students' Association, 2021.

She is very adventurous and she is into beading and production of detergents.
