Achievements
Dr. Emmanuel Odame Owiredu earned his PhD in Statistics from KNUST in 2025 and was promoted from Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science, KNUST, in December 2024. He has been competitively selected for several international fellowships, including the TUM.Africa Talent Program (Technical University of Munich, 2023), the International Summer School on Epidemic Modelling (Eldoret, Kenya, 2023), and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Student Central Summer Program (2021). He has authored and co-authored over a dozen peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, with a paper on machine learning for fraud detection cited over 280 times on Google Scholar. With more than a decade of teaching service across senior high school, distance learning, and university levels, and ongoing service as an Assistant Examiner in Mathematics for WAEC since 2016, he continues to contribute actively to research, mentorship, and statistical education in West Africa
