Mr. Kwabena Ampong is a financial management specialist.

He is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, a chartered internal auditor with the Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana, and a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional with the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals Inc. (USA). Additionally, he holds certificates in Project Finance and Project Management; and in Entrepreneurship University Transformation both from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands. He has a Chartered Diploma in Public Financial Management from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana. He also holds a certificate in Advance Finance Management from the Kenya School of Government. Mr. Ampong had his Master of Business Administration (Finance) and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) - Ghana

He currently serves as the Accountant at the Office of Grants and Research, KNUST. He has been engaged (proposal writing through to implementation) in several projects funded by the World Bank, USAID, USDA, NIH, BMBF of Germany, Welcome Trust Of UK, UNESCO, IDRC of Canada, H2 ATLAS, WSUP, and Oliver & Adelaide Tambo Foundation of South Africa.

Mr. Ampong has previously served as the head of finance and administration for M4 Construction and Mining Support Services, Acting Finance Officer for Jackson College of Education, Internal Auditor for Jackson College of Education, Deputy General manager for J. O. Microfinance Limited, and a teaching and research assistant at KNUST School of Business.

Mr. Ampong is a Christian who fellowships at Bethel Methodist Church, Ayigya. He is married and blessed with three children.
