Eric Arthur holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Benin, Benin City. He had both his first and second degrees in Economics from the University of Ghana. His special interests are in Health Economics, Econometrics, and Public Finance. He is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he teaches Health Economics, Econometrics, and Public Finance. Eric’s research focuses on reproductive health and health care financing. He has done some work on the demographic dividend using the National Transfer Account Approach for the United Nations Population Fund and the National Development Planning Commission. He has also collaborated on research regarding Ghana's primary healthcare provider payments. Eric has served as a Visiting Lecturer to the Centre of Excellence for Reproductive health Innovation at the University of Benin, Benin City (A World Bank Sponsored project) and Mount Kenya University, Nairobi, under the ACCESS project.
