Dr. Alhassan Sulemana is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science, Kwame Nkrumah of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Dr. Sulemana holds a PhD in Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management, an MSc in Environmental Resources Management, and a BSc in Environmental Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. Dr. Sulemana has about 8 years of teaching and research experience and reviews for several reputable local and international journals. He has been involved in projects, workshops, seminars, training, and consultancy in waste management, environmental assessment and management, occupational health and safety, and development and applications of decision support systems in environmental management.
Dr. Sulemana’s research focuses on environmental monitoring and management, environmental impact assessment, occupational & environmental health and safety, remote sensing and geographic information systems applications in environmental management, and solid waste management technologies. He has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students, with publications in these research areas in peer-reviewed journals. He has also presented at conferences, workshops, seminars, and trainings in several institutions. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses handled by Dr. Sulemana include Introduction to Remote Sensing, Introduction to GIS, Applications of Remote Sensing and GIS, Principles of Environmental Health, Waste Management and Safety, Water, Sanitation and Health, etc.
