Linda Amoako Banning has been a lecturer at the Department of Computer Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) since January 2022. Before joining KNUST, she was a lecturer with Christian Service University College (now Christian Service University) from August 2009 until December 2021. She is a researcher with over 15 years of experience in university-level teaching, administration, and student mentoring. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cape Coast, an MSc in IT from Edinburgh Napier University, an MEd (Higher Education Pedagogy) from KNUST, and a BSc in Computer Science also from KNUST.
Throughout her years in academia, she has served in various administrative, teaching and mentorship capacities both in Ghana and the broader international community.
Her research areas are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a particular interest in Digital Education and Technologies and how they can be used to support underserved communities. She is currently engaged in several multidisciplinary research and development projects at both national and international levels.
