Osei Yaw Akoto has a strong competence in research methodology and skills, acquired through his studies, teaching and research in corpus linguistics, English for Academic Purposes and onomastics. He has published a number of papers with some indexed in Scopus. His paper has recently been accepted for publication in Onoma, a leading journal in onomastics. His current research focus is metadiscourse in postgraduate theses in lesser known disciplines such as Land Economy, Planning, Religious Studies and Pharmacy. Aside from his interest in EAP, ESP, onomastics and corpus linguistics, he is also willing to conduct research in any area in English Linguistics.
