Using Artificial Intelligence to Support Food Microbiology Practical Teaching

A reflection on the use of artificial intelligence as a teaching-support tool during an introductory session for final-year students preparing for laboratory practicals and research. AI-assisted image generation was used to develop a visual workflow for the enumeration of microorganisms in food samples, using photographs of actual laboratory equipment to improve explanation and student comprehension.
